Filmbrain

You do realize that the hate mail was probably written by Gallo himself.

(Are you dissing The Polyphonic Spree? I love those guys!)

I'm with Filmbrain...no ragging on the Spree! I just got "Together We're Heavy" and was happy to note that due to their recent success, they were able to upgrade to multi-colored robes. The music is excellent and I am happy the Cult of Coyne is alive and well.

On a different note, I have seen the billboards all over L.A. as well as the great big sign on Hollywood Blvd. across from the Chinese advertising the Ten Commandments Musical, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that Val Kilmer would be starring as Moses...that is so cool. I am so happy for Val. After Wonderland, I was really worried that he had done one too many line of coke and his brain was mortally fried. But now I can see he's just smoking a massive amount of dope (the project should be subtitled "Dude, Where's My Promised Land"). I keep trying to tell people we have culture in L.A. and then they keep doing things like having Val freakin' Kilmer as a singing Moses. I can't wait for the musical adaptation of Spartacus...also starring Val Kilmer (but in the Tony Curtis role).

Just took a look at the Masada musical story and saw that the great and awesome talent of Shuki Levy is behind it. The very same Shuki Levy who wrote the immortal theme song, "Go, Go, Power Rangers!"

I'm trying to imagine Val Kilmer as Moses. It isn't going very well.

I think I'll go rent The Salton Sea again tonight. That was a good movie.
